About Us

Welcome to E&M Wood Services, a local, family-run business built on tradition, hard work, and a love for the outdoors. Founded in January 2024, E&M stands for Emerson and Mills, a partnership between Brian Mills and Nicole Emerson. Brian fell in love with firewood when he moved to California Hot Springs in 2017. Splitting wood for every winter season with his dad, Michael Mills, and brother Nicholas are some of his most cherished family memories. Brian also has been inspired by Nicole’s father, William ‘Bill’ Emerson — a lifelong logger, pioneer in the local tree industry and the heart behind Emerson Logging Co.. He is a foundational inspiration to us both here at E&M Wood Services.

 

Today, E&M Wood Services proudly operates on the same property that once belonged to Emerson Logging Co.. Our home was built by Bill Emerson himself, with every shingle, board, log, and nail cut and placed by his own hands. We’re honored to continue working on the same land and carrying on the family tradition.

 

We offer quality firewood, mobile wood splitting, and furniture restoration services to our community. We put heart and hard work behind everything we do. We're just getting started — We'll be excited to add on new tree services in the near future!
