About Us

Welcome to E&M Wood Services, a local, family-run business built on tradition, hard work, and a love for the outdoors. Founded in January 2024, E&M stands for Emerson and Mills, a partnership between Brian Mills and Nicole Emerson. Brian fell in love with firewood when he moved to California Hot Springs in 2017. Splitting wood for every winter season with his dad, Michael Mills, and brother Nicholas are some of his most cherished family memories. Brian has also been inspired by Nicole’s father, William “Bill” Emerson, a lifelong logger and pioneer in the local wood industry. For over 45 years, Bill built and ran Emerson Logging Co. on the very same Strathmore property where we now operate E&M Wood Services today.

We offer quality firewood, mobile wood splitting, and furniture restoration services to our community. We put heart and hard work behind everything we do.
